A research-creation project where high school students co-create a mini-opera, taking inspiration from plant signals turned into musical soundscapes. This project is an invitation to reflect on our relationship with nature and nurture positive engagement with nature through art and technology.

L'Écho des plantes places opera at the service of mental health and ecological dialogue. By involving high school students in a complete co-creation process—writing, music, staging—the project offers them a space to share their concerns and hopes regarding environmental issues. By transforming plant signals into musical soundscapes, we create a living sonic environment that shapes the opera narrative. Exploring themes such as solastalgia, the connection between humans and plants, and the beauty of nature, young people transform their eco-emotions into a collective artistic work. This project highlights the potential of lyric art combined with bio-responsive technology as a lever for psychological well-being, social engagement, and resilience.
