Oneiris
An interactive installation where drawings, text, and neural activity generate evolving dreamscapes in real time.

About
Oneiris is an interactive bio-adaptive installation presented at the Museum of Contemporary Native Arts (MoCNA) in Santa Fe, as part of Suzanne Kite's Dreamin with AI exhibition. It invites participants to enter a shared dream space where their drawings, words, and brain activity shape the unfolding visual environment. The system integrates EEG signals, live text input, and symbolic structures inspired by Lakota dream language, allowing each gesture or thought to influence the generation of hybrid dream forms. Real-time prompts derived from neural embeddings guide a generative AI model that continuously transforms the imagery, creating a fluid exchange between human intention and machine interpretation. Oneiris explores dreaming as a collective, co-creative process, weaving together neurotechnology, Indigenous knowledge frameworks, and adaptive visual storytelling.
