About

EEG Constellation is a large-scale social BCI installation created in collaboration with Suzanne Dikker for the Lowlands Festival. The experience measures neural synchrony between pairs and groups of participants, translating their shifting patterns of shared attention, emotional resonance, and co-presence into an evolving constellation of light. Using multi-person EEG, real-time signal processing, and algorithmic visual systems driven by data analysis, the installation reflects the invisible dynamics of collective experience. As participants interact, their shared neural rhythms shape the starfield around them, revealing the fluid and emergent nature of social connection. Combining neuroscience, signal processing, and digital arts, EEG Constellation bridges scientific research with immersive public engagement, making the dynamics of interpersonal neurobiology tangible and poetic.
